The obscure sound of Indie Rock Music

Indie rock music has a very unique and invigorating sound that creates a very alternative scene that shies away from the over processed and over produced style of music that has filled the world today. Indie rock music has dominated the college radio playlists and has produced a wide variety of sounds and styles. Several bands have gone off to succeed in making commercial success with their music as well as having created many sub genres. Due to several bands success it has brought the indie genre to a larger and much more mainstream, everyday audience. Several radio stations now play indie rock music on a regular rotation and bands are constantly touring across the world. Throughout the years the indie genre has gone back and forth with their sound and style of playing going from anywhere from retro to modern to more of a futuristic feeling. Indie music often had the reputation of being too raw or intense which was initially unfavorable among the mainstream audiences throughout the world but eventually grew into an iconic and influential area of music history. Indie rock also helped create the more feminists style of rock music allowing them to freely express their style and individuality among a newer and more open minded audience that was craving something more original and raw to listen to and enjoy. Everyone and anyone no matter what type of history or style they have can find some form of indie music to enjoy as it has such a wide variety of sound that there is something out there that you can love no matter who you are. Indie rock music has the rare gift to be able to match whatever mood you may be feeling and allow you to relate to the music on a personal and mental level. The music has been around for a while now and does not seem to show any signs of slowing down anytime soon.
